The R107 series SLs are the new, ‘Young Classics’ on the collectible Mercedes-Benz scene. There are plenty of nice drivers out there with 50,000, 60,000 and more miles, but those examples that are in the 20,000 – 40,000 mile range, original cars, are becoming ever harder to find as collectors and serious enthusiasts snatch them up for long term ownership.
Here is an opportunity to acquire one of those low mile, original examples that has always been well cared for. This is a 1987 Mercedes Benz 560SL with just 35,000 original miles. Not so few miles that you could never drive it again, but few enough to make it a very desirable car, one that has been regularly and lovingly maintained over the years. A move out of the country necessitates the sale of this car, the owner doesn’t want to sell, and has made it clear to us, if the right money isn’t there, he’ll figure out some way to take it with him… it’s just that nice a car.
